The Empire Hotel, a member of the Autograph Collection by Marriott, is excited to announce its Executive Chef, Haller Magee.
Chef Magee brings his notable experience along with his unrivaled style that Magee refers to as “southern progressive with global influences”.
Magee draws inspiration from fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
Chef Magee believes “food is something intimate that we can do for each other, and it brings people to the table”. Chef Magee graduated from Culinard at Virginia College with a degree in Culinary Arts. He was with Satterfield’s restaurant for almost 10 years, beginning as a line cook before quickly moving up to sous chef under Executive Chef Frank Sekyra. When the position of Executive Chef became available at Satterfield’s, he jumped at the opportunity and served as Satterfield’s executive chef for six years. Chef Magee also served as the Executive Chef for Sky Castle Gastrolounge. Chef Magee has been nationally recognized in Best Chefs of America, an annual distinction voted on by other members of the professional culinary community.
