Ascent Hospitality News
We’ve been up to a lot lately at Ascent Hospitality! We strive to create hospitality experiences all around with quality service and charisma.
The rich history and culture of Montgomery, Alabama draws plenty of tourists every year. Tourists are able to enjoy local attractions, such as the Montgomery Zoo, while also immersing themselves in the history of the city with the monumental Rosa Parks Museum at Troy University. Montgomery has prospered tremendously, which makes it a perfect location to add to our Ascent portfolio. In a press conference held last week, Mayor Todd Strange announced that the former Bishop-Parker Warehouse Showroom building will be renovated into a SpringHill Suites-brand hotel. The estimated time of completion for this project will be around Spring of 2018.
The theme of this hotel will be different from others in the Montgomery market. Incorporating golden age sophistication and style, this hotel will have character that encompasses the history of Montgomery.
Along with the renovation of a new hotel, we are also breaking ground on a brand new project in Hammond, Indiana. What will be a Holiday Inn Express & Suites, will add another IHG property to our portfolio as we expand beyond brands. Hammond is a place of community and what better place to bring a new host of hospitality than in an area that values hospitality as we do? Holiday Inn Express & Suites is scheduled to open end of year 2017.
